The GunsOnPegs website gives details of the various levels of cover available which should be sufficient for everyone
shooting with Ripley Sporting, remembering of course that this new package covers all your personal shoot days and not
        just those with Ripley Sporting.

If a day is cancelled anyone shooting on that day without cancellation insurance cover will lose their shoot fee.
Ripley Sporting does not underwrite cancelled days.

As this new shooting insurance package offers so many benefits, I do strongly recommend you consider subscribing to
        it as soon as possible.

The GunsOnPegs Single Day Shoot Cancellation insurance offers extremely competitive rates which give piece of mind
should a day be cancelled due to bad weather. This insurance is applicable if you are to take a whole day for your
colleagues and wish to cover the total cost.

To purchase the cover, the individual taking it out must have a Triple Barrelled Cover Policy which will cover their peg
cost (1/9 for example). Single day cancellation can then insure the remaining value.

The policy is designed to really look after you and your team should you be unable to shoot for the reasons detailed
above. Please visit GunsOnPegs website to view full details of the policy.

After 28 years of running shoots, although our woodlands are important for holding and flushing birds, we find that wild
bird cover is just as, if not, more important. We now have approximately 500 acres of wild bird cover and land left to
grow wild, made up of over 300 acres at Ripley Castle, Hob Green and Cayton and 200 acres on Mountgarret.

We have tried a number of wild bird cover mixes and have worked with Richard Barnes of King’s over recent years to
find the most ideal mix for our Shoots. We find Poacher Maize to be ideal for holding both partridges and pheasant with
a strip of Campaign Mix along the sides to keep the Maize area warm is an ideal combination.

Our Campaign mix is made up with a mix of Triticale, Linseed, Spring Barley, Sunflowers, White Millett, Red Millett,
Reed Millett, Coleor Kale, Kale Rape, Turnip Rape, Phacelia, Red Clover and Utopia.

At both Ripley Castle and Mountgarret we have sown a number of new areas of wild bird cover for the new season. Now
having the farming lease at Cayton, this area has seen a significant increase in wild bird cover particularly for partridge.

I am very confident these new areas together with our established areas will bring our Shoots to a new level.

Much is written and said about the emission cost to our atmosphere caused by the many miles our food travels.

We are very pleased to advise that all the wheat fed to our pheasants and partridge will now be produced by ourselves,
travelling no more than five miles from where it is grown.

When the tenant farmer on High Cayton Estate retired I decided to take the farming lease. This area will now be farmed
with 220 acres down to wheat, 70 acres silage grass and 40 acres of wild bird cover. In addition there are 20 acres suitable
        for sheep.

We will hopefully produce more wheat than we require which will be sold to other farmers.
